John founded Mason Real Estate Limited in 1973. He obtained his real estate license in 1965, originally working with Williams-Hamilton and then started on his own in 1970. He retired in 2025 after sixty years of being a Realtor. Even though John is no longer licensed, he still is involved in the business. Prior to starting in real estate, John and his late brother Bruno started their own garage, Mason Brothers Limited in 1954, which then became Guelph’s first Volkswagen dealer in 1955. The two brothers also owned and operated Mason Motor Coaches, a bus and coach business from 1956 to the mid 1960’s before becoming the Guelph Ford dealer in 1962.
Bob is President and the Broker of Record of Mason Real Estate Limited. He has over 30 years of real estate, construction and finance experience and prior to coming into the family business he held various positions with general contractors, developers and property management organizations. Bob holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA).
